The area which is now Fullerton was once home to the Gabrieliňos, local Tongva people dubbed by the Spanish after the establishment of the Mission San Gabriel in 1771. Historically a center for agriculture, petroleum extraction, transportation and manufacturing, Fullerton has thrived to become a city in Orange County, California, and home to nearly 140,000 residents.
